Bat House

Bat houses are a curious thing.  It is not always true that build it and they will come.  You cannot trick them into settling in by luring them there (guano or not). 

We now have bats on the property but have not seen them use the bat house yet.  However, we did follow a proven design so there is hope.

I am particularly partial to  Merlin Tuttle's work and would recommend his  how to book if it were still in print.  His site is worth visiting and he does have several interesting articles and books on bats.
